Research Facilities

We are extremely well equipped for research in all areas of molecular biology and protein chemistry. Our laboratory interacts closely with other groups in LMB studying DNA recombination reactions and with both X-ray crystallography and NMR structural biology groups. In addition to standard laboratory equipment and tissue culture facilities, the following equipment is available:

* Fermentor for large scale expression of proteins in E.coli
* Chromatography equipment for purification of proteins from micro-analytical scale to gram quantities
* State of the art protein sequencer.
* Circular dichroism, atomic absorption, and fluorescence spectrometers
* Fluorescence microscope
* Atomic force microscope
* Mass spectrometer
* Analytical ultracentrifuge
