Current projects include:

* Studies of the structure and function of HIV integrase and the molecular mechanism of retroviral DNA integration.
* Studies of preintegration complexes isolated from cells after retroviral infection.
* Investigation of role of a newly discovered cellular protein (BAF) in blocking autointegration of retroviral DNA.
* Investigation of the role of BAF for the host cell.
